Koraalrifvissen
In de wateren rondom Aruba komen honderden verschillende soorten vissen voor. Een groot deel van deze vissen leven in de koraalriffen van het eiland.
Voor duikers en snorkelaars is dit uiteraard een groot feest. Eenmaal te water waan je jezelf direct in een groot tropisch aquarium. Papegaaivissen zijn de meest voorkomende vissen in de riffen van Aruba. Deze dieren zijn prachtig gekleurd en kunnen uitgroeien tot enorme afmetingen (meer dan een meter).
Twee vissoorten die voorkomen op Aruba staan hoog op de verlanglijstjes van duikers en snorkelaars: het majestueuze zeepaardje (seahorse) en de fascinerende hengelaarsvis (frogfish). Deze zeldzame rifbewoners spreken enorm tot verbeelding en worden graag op de gevoelige plaat vastgelegd.
